On September 10, the SLOCDP voted on their endorsements for the November election. For Mayor of San Luis Obispo, current Mayor Jan Marx received the nod. In Grover Beach, John Shoals was endorsed for Mayor. Paso Robles Mayoral candidate Steve Martin, who is running unopposed, received the Party’s endorsement as well. SLO City Council had two open slots. Incumbent Carlyn Christianson and Dan Rivoire received the endorsement. Mary Matakovich was endorsed for the position of Harbor Commissioner.
The SLOCDP also endorsed a number of local measures:
Measure F–Atascadero–road improvement
K-14, Grover City — Street Bond
Measure G – San Luis Obispo — retaining .5% sales tax
Measure D – San Luis Obispo – School bond
Cuesta College District Measure L
The SLOCDP also voted to oppose the City of Arroyo Grande’s Measure C-14, an effort to make the city a charter city.
