Lori Caudill
I have served on the Central Committee since 2012. I am proud to be a Democrat because as my grandfather told me “Democrats stand up for the little guy.” I have volunteered for campaigns since I was a Senior at San Luis Obispo High School. I am a graduate of Cal Poly and have worked as a reporter, editorial assistant, small business owner and in retail management. I have been a member of the El Moro Democratic Club in Los Osos since shortly after moving to Los Osos and am currently Club Treasurer. I had the great privilege of representing SLO County as an elected delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte NC in 2012. I’ve walked precincts, registered voters and called voters for many years on behalf of the Democratic Party because I believe in the values of the party. I would be honored to be elected by Central Coast residents, so that I can continue to represent District 2 as a member of the San Luis Obispo County Democratic Central Committee.

Cheryl Conway
Hello. My name is Cheryl Conway and I am asking for your vote to continue as a District 2 representative on the Democratic Central Committee. I am an incumbent representative from Cayucos. During my time on the Central Committee, I have served as Vice Chair, Delegate, and the County Representative to the California Democratic Party. In addition, I am Treasurer of the North Coast Democratic Club, past President of Democratic Women United, Office Manager for the SLO Democratic Party, and was named the 2016 Volunteer of the Year for the San Luis Obispo Democratic Party. I believe that the only way we can maintain and improve our quality of life is to be involved: make the phone calls, walk the precincts, organize the fundraisers, and make a commitment. I am a retired union member and also volunteer at Woods Humane Society in my spare time. I would like to continue as a North Coast Rep to the County Party so that we can continue to have a strong voice. Thank you for your consideration.

Tom Fulks
Tom Fulks lives in Morro Bay and has been a San Luis Obispo County resident since 1976. He’s co-owner of a public relations / public policy firm focusing on advanced automotive technology and climate change. He’s the “liberal” weekly columnist for the SLO County Tribune. He was a newspaper reporter-turned-columnist from 1982 to 2005 with the Telegram-Tribune, Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder and New Times. He’s been a campaign advisor to 2nd District Supervisor Bruce Gibson, former 2nd District Supervisor Shirley Bianchi, and has advised campaigns for county supervisor, ballot measures and other offices in SLO County since 1992. Both Gibson and Bianchi signed his nomination papers for the Central Committee.

Allison Groves
I served on the Democratic Central Committee from 2011-2013, and as an alternate prior to that. I traveled extensively throughout California in the intervening years and am now resettling in SLO County. I am committed to supporting the Democratic Presidential nominee in November. I am progressive, yet realistic. While I completely support Senator Sanders for the nomination, I recognize that we must come together in November to ensure that a Democratic President will remain in the White House. We must also do everything we can to keep Lois Capps’ seat Democrat!

Thomas Kessler
I believe that the most important function of the SLO Democratic Party is to elect Democrats to office. I have been working with campaigns across the county to see that our shared Democratic values are represented in government.

Lara Storm
The county party has grown in size, strength, and professionalism over the last decade. We need to keep moving in that direction! We must recruit, elect, and support the city, county, and district candidates and officeholders that stand for our values at the level of government closest to us while making sure state and federal campaigns have a turnkey resource here on the Central Coast.
