Defending Democracy, the Constitution and the Rule of Law

We will stand on sidewalks and display signs (hand-made is great) that emphasize the themes of democracy, and how it is being shredded by Trump, Musk and MAGA. (Please do not bring signs focused on other issues, no matter how important those other issues are. We are standing on a precipice. We need to act in unison while we still can. If we cannot rescue democracy first, those other issues will never be addressed). We will be mindful of safety (for ourselves, drivers and pedestrians). We will be respectful, and avoid confrontations. And we'll have the pleasure of making new acquaintances with like-minded people from our own community. If you need a sign, you can pick one up (or make your own) at the SLO County Democratic Party office, 75 Higuera St., Suite 110, which will be open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
